Reese Abbadessa
Chief Operating OfficerReese assisted in the establishment of Horizon Family Wealth Inc. in 2021. She has taken care of the team’s client service needs efficiently and effectively as the first point of contact with both clients and back-office maintaining a steady flow of communication and organization. The relationships she’s built with her clients and co-workers throughout the years are her most cherished part of the job. Reese is now the Chief Compliance Officer, using her knowledge of the RIA industry to keep up with the ever-changing SEC regulations.
Reese graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 2006. She interned with Raymond James and truly started her career in finance at Shea Financial Group in 2008, just in time for the stock market crash. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, the last 19 have been spent working alongside Blane Shea learning not only the art of ethical financial services, but also how to run a successful business. Reese holds her Series 65 license through Horizon Family Wealth.
She and her husband, Rob, have two daughters together, Eliana and Elesia. In true Italian form, Reese loves baking and cooking and keeping up with all of her large family traditions like jarring their own sauce every year. In her spare time, Reese enjoys reading, puzzles, and hopes to make it on Wheel of Fortune one day.
